- What
type of desktop computer does your server platform support?
The type of desktop computer you are using does not matter at all. You
can use a PC or Mac, running Windows, NT, Unix, Linux or MacOS platform.

- Will
I be provided with my own CGI-BIN?
Yes, you will be provided with your own CGI-BIN and you may upload CGI scripts
using our file manager or through FTP.

- Do
you support Dreamweaver?
Yes. Dreamweaver uploads and synchronizes web files using FTP functionality,
therefore it is supported on our servers.

- Do
you offer MS FrontPage extensions?
Yes. We do offer Microsoft FrontPage 2000/2002/2003 extensions. In order for
the FrontPage components (contact form, hits counter and etc.) to work, your
web site must be uploaded using the FrontPage program publish feature (use
http:// when publishing) or the component(s) will not work.

- Can
FrontPage and Dreamweaver be used at the same time?
This is not recommended as FrontPage requires the extensions that are updated
when the site is updated whereas Dreamweaver uses code contained in the html
of the file. FrontPage is a great program but it can rewrite your code at
its own discretion which will cause problems. Changes made in FrontPage will
not be applicable in Dreamweaver.

- Will
I be able to remove my FrontPage Extensions using FTP or Dreamweaver?
They won't do any harm if they remain there, but you can remove them if you
wish. Note that you may uninstall or install Frontpage Extensions via the
Hosting Control Panel.

- Is
SSL (secure) hosting being offered?
Yes, we do offer Shared-SSL as well as Dedicated SSL. Shared-SSL is offered
as standard with some of IVC's hosting plans. For details on dedicated SSL
services, please enquire for more information.

Is secure transactions being supported?
Secure transactions are supported if you have any one of the following:
1) Shared-SSL included with your hosting plan
2) Dedicated SSL
3) Your payment gateway company hosts your secure transaction pages.

SSI being offered?
Yes, SSI or "server side includes" will be offered. Your SSI pages must be
named with the .shtml extension in order for you to use SSI.

is the supported PHP version?
It is PHP version 4.04. If you require other versions of PHP, please contact
us at support@IvcHosting.com.

- Do
you support Microsoft Access, Microsoft Foxpro, VBScript, IIS and Active Server
Pages (ASP)?
Yes, these technologies are supported by our Windows-based Hosting Plan.
If you require these technologies
ensure that you select a Windows Platform Hosting Plan during Account Sign-up.
- What
type of client-side languages do you support? What about server-side Java?
Our service supports all client-side languages, including Java Applets and
JavaScripts. Currently, we don't offer server side Java, because of the lack
of stable and efficient Java engine for the Linux operating system. We may
consider this in the future if current engines improve.

- Do
you support Cold Fusion, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Visual Interdev?
Due to the high per user cost associated with these technologies, we do
not offer these technologies with our hosting plans as it would prevent us
from providing a low cost & high value hosting solution.
We do however support many popular alternatives to the above such as MySQL,
PHP, Perl and many others.

- Do
you provide a dedicated IP address for each hosting account?
Due to the world shortage of IP addresses, we do not provide a dedicated IP
for each account (Almost all web hosting providers do not provide a dedicated
IP nowadays). We will provide you a temporary URL as a substitute where you
may use it to access your website if your domain name is not available. However,
if you wish to have a dedicated IP for your web site, it will cost you $36
per year per IP.

type of multimedia files do you support?
There is no file type restrictions applied on our hosting plans. We support
all types of multimedia files.

you support Audio and Video Streaming?
Yes.

- Can
I have my own customized error 404 and error 500 pages?
Yes. You will be able to change this setting from the Hosting Control Panel.
The default locations for these error files are "/error404.html" and
"/error500.html"
